Heterozygous
The first Heterozygous (Het for short) that was a known Heterozygous was the Albino. Hets are what will produce a Recessive morph, for example to Het Albino to Het Albino breeding statistically has a one in four chance of producing an Albino. A Heterozygous animal will look no different than a wildtype, unless it is a combo like Pastel Het. Hypo. We have various hets in our collection from just Het. Hypo to Triple Het. Caramel, Hypo and Genetic Stripe. We make sure we know where our Hets are coming from as we have been burned in the past. There is no true way to tell a Het Albino or Het Lavender from a normal, although many beleive that some markers are tell tale signs of a het, such as ringers, train tracks, head spots and lighter coloration.
